Sam Toland is Company Secretary of the Irish Wheelchair Association, one of Ireland’s leading representative associations and service providers for people with disabilities.

Sam has extensive experience as a governance professional and co-operative development practitioner working with co-operative and member-led organisations across the food, home care, sport, social enterprise, and community-led housing sectors. His work is underpinned by a strong conviction in the value of co-operation and the proven capacity of the co-operative model to deliver for members, communities, and society at large.

Sam serves as the secretary of steering committee of Co-operatives Ireland, an emerging federation representing co-operatives in diverse sectors across the island of Ireland.
