GAA | Former President

John Horan is a former President of the GAA introducing the Tailteann Cup and leading the association through the first year of Covid during his term.

He was also a School Principal in St Vincent’s Secondary School in Glasnevin, his alma mater.

John served 20 years in the Irish Red cross Society serving 2 as national Vice Chairman.

Presently he is Chairman of the Student Grant Appeals Boars (deal with SUSI appeals).

He recently accepted a position on the ERST Schools Board of Directors and was recently appointed as Chair of the Artane School of Music.

He continues his GAA work Chairing and serving on a variety of Boards.

Born in Dublin John is married to Paula and has two sons.

He was a member of the original savings club that led to the formation of the ASTI Credit Union now known as the Education Credit Union.
